Puppy Adoption Process

Adopting a puppy is a thrilling journey, and we’re dedicated to supporting you throughout the entire process. From choosing the perfect puppy to welcoming them into your home, we’re here to assist you at every stage.

Feel free to contact us to learn more about our adoption process.

We require a non-refundable $500.00 deposit for all our puppies, which can now be processed through this website. This deposit ensures a valid commitment and helps to prevent a puppy from being reserved without serious intent.

Final payments can be made directly through our website or in-person at pickup.  We are exploring a process and contract for those that have requested making advance payments for a future puppy. In line with our vision to raise awareness of this wonderful breed, we welcome all ideas and suggestions to help you bring one home.

Puppy Health & Care Guidelines

We prioritize the health and well-being of our puppies through comprehensive care and responsible breeding practices.

Breeding & Health Screening

  • All  breeding adults undergo DNA and genetic testing
  • Ensures they are free from any genetic breed disorders

Vaccination Schedule & Worming

Each puppy receives early vaccinations and worming. If a puppy is picked up before completing the 3-shot series, the new owner is responsible for the remaining vaccines (typically just the final shot).

  • 6-8  Weeks:
    • Distemper & Parvo
    • Bordetella can be administered at any time if boarding/kenneling
    • Lepto* I do not vaccinate for this. See Note Below
  • 8-11  Weeks:
    • Distemper & Parvo
    • Worming
  • 11-13 Weeks:
    • Distemper  & Parvo
    • 2nd worming if needed
  • 6  Months:

                      Rabies

Additional Care & Microchipping

  • Puppies will receive all vaccinations per this schedule unless pickup occurs prior to completion
  • Microchipping - A special small size microchip will be provided to you at pickup. Your vet can adminiter this after advising you of the best time to implant it based on your puppies weight.
  • A well-check visit takes place between 6-9 weeks

Special Note:

The Leptospirosis vaccine has a history of risk. It has since been improved. If you decide to include it, I might recommend waiting until after the puppy’s first birthday. Please check with your vet. This is an important vaccine for dogs and puppy parents that will spend a any time outdoors.

*The Leptospirosis vaccine protects dogs from Leptospira bacteria, which can be found in soil and water, especially in puddles, lakes, and streams. Dogs can contract leptospirosis by drinking contaminated water, coming into contact with infected urine, or interacting with wildlife and farm animals.

Leptospirosis can cause serious health issues, including:

  • Kidney failure
  • Liver failure
  • Severe lung disease
  • Bleeding disorders
  • Eye inflammation
  • Fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and muscle pain

Since leptospirosis is zoonotic, meaning it can spread from animals to humans, vaccinating dogs helps protect both pets and people. The vaccine is now considered a core vaccination for dogs, especially those that spend time outdoors.
