My Personal history
As a family breeder in Leander, TX, our dogs are cherished members of our home. With over 35 years of experience rescuing, nursing, and sheltering dogs, my deep commitment to animal welfare shapes everything I do. My lifelong dedication to rescue work continues alongside breeding, ensuring responsible practices and ongoing support for organizations that protect animals in need.
From the moment we met our first Biewer Terrier, we were captivated by their charm, devotion, and therapeutic nature. That love inspires us to share the breed with families across Central Texas and beyond, ensuring each puppy receives early sensitivity training, environmental enrichment, and socialization for a well-adjusted companion.
I believe in the value of responsible breeding—selecting for calm temperaments, excellent health, and predictable traits to help prevent dogs from ending up in shelters. By carefully matching each puppy to the right family, we help build lasting bonds and confidence in finding the perfect lifelong companion.
Our Mission
At Central Texas Biewer Terriers, our mission is to breed for the qualities that make this breed so special—its health, intelligence, and gentle, therapeutic nature. Biewer Terriers are known for their unwavering loyalty, playful yet mellow personalities, and their ability to bond deeply with their human families. Their friendly and social temperament makes them wonderful companions for all ages, while their small size adds to their adaptability in various living environments.

Service Dogs, Inc.
Founded in 1988 by attorney Sheri Soltes, Service Dogs, Inc. builds better lives for Texans overcoming challenges through partnerships with custom-trained Assistance Dogs provided free of charge. For 34 years, we’ve given abandoned dogs a Second Chance. We train them with love and the results are incredible. Our dogs become heroes for wounded veterans and others with disabilities. We provide them a lifetime follow-up completely free of charge thanks to your generous
Every year, the Mighty Texas Dog Walk draws about 2,000 dog owners looking to enjoy the “Doggiest Day in Austin” and support the nonprofit’s mission to provide Service Dogs to wounded veterans and other disabled Texans completely free of charge. The nonprofit also has a successful track record achieving Guinness World Records, and is a staple of Austin’s dog loving culture.
